        1. I wrote my first book at 13 years! It's a typical fairytale, a romantic and happily ever thing a romantic addict like me would do! I discovered Mills and Boon at just a few months short of 10 years and got hooked. Oh no, they were not as steamy and cheesy as they are now! I was intrigued by the storyline - boy meets girl, girl had misunderstanding with boy and left. Boy goes to look for girl and they got married and they live happily ever.

My dad was mortified when he found...

Adewale Alao Though I learnt a lot from him, I still wish I could be as calm as him. He was a man of peace and a good father to emulate. He made me not to fancy cigarettes smoking and drinking alcohol. I'm sure he is in heaven now. But Funmi you surprise me for not mentioning your tricks of pretending to be using toilet just to read mills and boon. I can never forget that his beautiful infectious one sided smile.

I read somewhere that the Delta state governor approved N350m on the welcome party for ex convict, James Onanafe Ibori.

One of the conditions of being released early from British jail is for the convict to be deported back to his country of origin to finish his jail term.

Instead of putting him in jail, the Delta state government welcomed him like a hero coming from war zone.

          ...

The sports men and women who represented and won laurels for Nigeria were never appreciated, nor celebrated like they do for ex-convicts! What an irony of life...

It's a shame really, that some people would think it's all ok to do this. It's even more shameful that all of us are keeping it hush hush... Especially the Nigerian press.

Can you imagine how many lives N350m would change in Delta state? The number of schools or medical centres that amount will build?

So here I was yesterday, kinda all excited and butterflies floating in my tum...

I saw him and fancied him immediately. I quickly adjusted myself, took a quick check of meself on the camera of my phone. (No need to worry, my makeup was near perfect!)

Lounging in the seat, with careless abandon. Directly opposite me. Oh, how I thanked my stars for this day.

          ...

He's apparently tall, good looking and all... Clean shaved shiny head. Subtle stubs of beard and killer moustache that's bound to win a die hard no-facial-hair addict.

For several minutes, I watched him under the hoods of my eyelids, trying to gauge his eyes under his fanciful dark glasses... Admiring his lovely skin, long strong hands and fingers fiddling with his hands free...

I struggled so much to keep my cool, not wanting him to see that I was staring. Or give away that I secretly fancy him.

How can you not stare? When sitting opposite you is what you'd ever dream of as the man of your dream. A kinda "knight in shining armour" type, one that be the envy of other babes. One that other men would easily be jealous of.

Who'd have thought, that it's on a TFL shuttle train that I'd seen someone I really fancy????

Then I took a longer look, all the way from head down to the shoes.

And the bubble burst. I woke up from the reverie. He's all tight, fit and right from head to the mid section.

Buh, he was wearing a track suit bottom on his lower half! (I really can't stand such casual dress up. I particularly have an aversion for track suit fashion!).

And not only that. The the trainers on his feet? They were hideous! Non descript black pair of fashion less trainers!

I am not kidding, I was so upset I couldn't wait to get off the train at Stratford!

Instead of people to fight for their own righteousness and personal uplift, to make heaven, they're busy fighting on social media, who is or not the head of the church. (G. O. is just a title ...)

For your information, Jesus is the Head of the Church! I bet Pastor E. O. Adeboye is embarrassed that some people are making this about him. It's not about him, or whoever takes over from whoever.

Being a Christian is about Christ, not who heads the parish or branch or whatever Ch...urch you attend.

Its disheartening to see and read heretical and blasphemous narratives and commentaries of so called born again Christians! They're more or less turning and twisting the Bible upside down!

Seyi Bakare Amen. Thanks and same to you and your family. Happy new year!
Kehinde Shobo Oki Happy New year to you and family FUNMI

          Today, I'm most grateful for the gift of memories;
For with the passage of time
          Wounds heal;
          Tears dry up
And life truly does go on.....

          ...

          But God truly blessed us when he gave us memories;
For they are the tattoes of our lives imprinted on our minds
And so I think of you today and I remember. ......

I remember how you had such a great sense of humour
You taught to laugh so hard
Our home was filled with so much laughter
15 years gone, our home is still filled with so much laughter.....

I remember how you always took special interest in our academics
Teaching us to always strive for excellence
15 years gone, we have exceled and still stand out in our respective paths......

I remember how generous you were
You could give out your arms in alms (lol)
You taught us that it was more blessed to give than to receive
15 years gone, recession or not; we know that it is truly more blessed to give than to receive.....

I remember how we could just sit and talk for hours on end
Looking back now, I wonder what we little kids had to say that was so interesting and important to you
          But you always listened, always;
          Never considered it noise
15 years gone, the love we know you had for us has stuck with us, giving us a sense of identity. .....

We are blessed; truly we are
We had the love of a father
Who wasn't perfect but loved us perfectly
Who shone the light that led us to our eternal Father.....

15 years on, your life's legacies live on through us
Through us and through so many lives you touched with your kindness
Your memory will never be erased.....

In loving memory of Peter Umar Omale
          Our friend, example and Father

Folashade Majekodunmi Ajayi To God be all the glory and honour
Olayemmy Falayi Frinally !! Indeed lol, to God be the glory. .............

          Dear God,

          Your love suddenly
          changed my life forever. ...
When you called my pal, my okoṣiṣi, my bobo, my crown, my cover, my blanket, my eyes, my fiercest advocate, my paddy man, my chikito, my opani, my oga in the bedroom, my best friend, my stabiliser, my gauge, my help mate and husband home ... 😚😘😚😘😙😀😁😊☺️

But your grace sustained me. Your merciful hand held my shaky hands and your super watchful eyes never left mine at every given time. Your shoulder I sought at the very darkest nights when there's nobody else...

I bless and praise your name, for all your faithfulness in my faithlessness, unfaithfulness and never ending despair... I can pretend I'm ok to the whole world. But with you I can't. And I don't, because I will always need You God. Plus You God, you search, see, heal and repair a broken heart...

My heart is ever stronger now, than 15 years ago.
Of course the grief and the loneliness sort of pop up now and then!
          Only YOU can fill that.
But thank you God, your children and grandchildren You have used to fill most of the void.
          Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia.

Your mercy established and found our seeds = Richard Omale, Mariam Peter-omale, Peter Junior Omale, Stephanie Peter-Omale, and Kevin Josh Omale.
And you establish them. You strengthened them. You taught and ordered them into their divine destinies.
          You have done for them
Much more he'd have done perhaps.

          Four of them university graduates
And the last born still in Uni studying Computer science...
Because it's not by him that runs or wills it, it's all by You, God because of your mercy.

We say thank you Lord for the tumultuous journey so far
          For the good and bad
          The easy and challenging
The often empty jars that You faithfully fill up. The manna you drop down from above when our barns dry up. Doing good for us, exactly at the point we have needs.

My human heart always always miss him. Oh yes....
Miss not seeing to fruition the plans to grow old and gray together...
I'm doing all the greys and growing old all by meself!
Miss him not seeing his children grow into God inspired independent men and women...
Because it is Your will God.

We will forever sing your praise God, we have nothing else to do but bask in your grace and mercy.
Everything is to your glory Lord. Everything, always ends in Your praise my God.

          Love always

          Majesty!

Forever I'm changed by Your love
Your grace has found me just as I am
Empty handed but alive in Your hand ...

Before you start posting your mountainous bowls of food and humongous bottles of wine and other drinks, TAKE A PAUSE...

Take a pause to remember some people are truly going through difficult times.

Spare a thought for the homeless; the poor, widows and orphans; ...
          the sick, the aged and infirmed with no living families or friends;

Reach out to those in need, share with others. That is the true spirit of Christmas. Showing love to others, other than our own family members and friends. Merry Christmas 🎄 🎄 🎄

He said: “It is very sad that the food which is being imported into the country for... the first time already have original NAFDAC registration numbers on them. Yet the same NAFDAC will deny those who want to start producing pure water the registration number because they can not bribe them. ...

          And When mum came back home with a wrinkled but cutest and tiniest angelic baby with the brightest eyes;

I knew for sure immediately I will love you unconditionally for ever! You were and still are the most beautiful soul, in and out.

May God complete all that He has started in you, in propagating His word and expanding, enlarging His coast through your ministry.

          You always give,
You'd even share the little you got and
You'd always smile that disarming smile to calm fray nerves and make life seem better...

You are the cord that binds us the Akinboade girls together, our entertainer, our cheer leader and rallying point...

I will always love you for this, my sister. Because in the years past, and even now, you have consistently remained a peace maker and a loving and selfless sister.

You have the sweetest and the cutest smile I have ever seen. And I pray God keeps that smiling face, ever vibrant which brightens up our day every day.

My colleague walked into work today with two black blood shot eyes. The manager asked him if he was ok and asked what happened to him.

The man said, "I was sitting behind a big woman at church. When we stood up to sing hymns, I noticed that her dress was caught in her crack, so I helped her pulled it out and adjusted her dress for her. She turned around and punched me square in the left eye!"

"Ouch! Where and how did you get the other shiner then?" the boss asked.

          ...

"Well," the man said, "I reckoned she didn't want the dress out of her crack, so I pushed it back in."

" Again she turned towards me and gave me an upper cut that landed straight on my right eye!"

Without a rich heart, your wealth (liquid or solid, soft or hard) is an ugly beggar!
Man may dismiss compassion from his heart, and forgets his source, but God never will!

Some parents give their children names that were literally translated from their local dialects. At the time of naming the children, those names had meanings and made sense. When these children grow up, they see no sense or relevance of such names.

Unfortunately, these days lots and lots of computer aged children and teenagers are quite unhappy with so called embarrassing names their parents gave them!

I have met lots of young persons who complained that they are ashamed of ...their long names or trying to explain the meanings and spellings to other people.

Make life simple for your children, especially if you aim to send them abroad to study or work, give them simple short names that they'd not only keep when they are of age, but they'd also be proud to say it out loud and clear in public!

Bayo Adetomiwa Interestingly, @ Aunty Funmi, some parents go out of order in a bid to simplify the names they give to their children. Recently, I met some young Nigerians from South-south and their names would leave you guessing. One was Consequence Johnson, another Objective Akpotivwe and yet another Africa Sundry. Imagine!
Adeniyi Ben Adewole Engaging post and very interesting responses.
Olufunmi Peter-Omale Bro Bayo Adetomiwa, God bless you and take away your shame in Jesus name. Amen.

These are the kind of embarrassing names I'm talking about o. And some people are losing sleep over what I wrote!

        Dear Friends and family

Today, as always, I thank God for all of the people that have ever been in my life and have done me good and bad; right and wrong.

        Love.
        Forgiveness.

        Understanding.
        Selflessness.
        Tolerance.
        Acceptance.
        Faith.
        Patience.
        Right and
        Wrong.

Good morning and wishing you, yours and all a safe and joyful Christmas celebrations. The pestilence and troubles of this world will not come near us and ours. And God's grace and mercy will abound abundantly for all this season. 😍😘😍😍😘😚☺️😚

        A lot of people
They have been through many of life's storms
That every time they look up,
They can only see clouds ...

        ...

        But beyond those clouds

        There is the shining sun
That brightens up the darkest day ...

        There's the moon
        That glows brightest
In the darkest of the nights ...

And there're the big and small stars
That blink and bling in the dark skies ...

Reminding us of angels that have been given charge over all ...

And of course our Lord God who oversees everything and everyone. He is up there too.

So, we are never alone at any given time, no matter how lonely we feel sometimes.

For some of us it's a tap on the shoulder, for others it's a slap in the face.
        Albeit, notwithstanding how, what, where and when;
We all FEEL the hand of GOD in our lives at some point in our life times.

Thank God, we're blessed with another day, and another chance to get and make things right !!!

Joe Bankole Funmi, I shared it on my page and someone was displeased by a line in the write-up saying Jesus served a God that is both man and woman. In case there people feeling same way, here's my response.

"Ha ha ha ha ha! This is a write-up by an Oyinbo man.

The decision to suspend this directive was taken after due consultation with industry stakeholders and the general complaints by Consumers across the country.
